The Nuhanovic Foundation’s Reparations Database brings together more than a decade of legal instruments, reparations cases, reports and scholarly contributions relating to reparations law.
Civic Spectrum manages and maintains this open-access resource, helping organise a growing body of knowledge into a searchable and accessible platform for legal professionals, researchers, scholars and others seeking to understand the evolving field of reparations.

Approach
We worked closely with the Foundation to understand how legal practitioners and researchers use reparations material, translating those requirements into a structured and practical database system.
The database was organised around the way users search for information, with clear categorisation and filters enabling records to be located by region, year and type. Behind the public-facing resource, we developed workflows that allow the Foundation’s team to review, update and manage records efficiently.
The result is treated not as a static archive, but as a living knowledge resource, continuously maintained as the field of reparations law evolves.
